Creating Security Without “Perfect Timing”

There’s only two types of timing. Now or Never.

It isn’t Now, Later, or Never.

In the same way that there is no 8th day of the week called “someday”.

Later is never an option, because it isn’t guaranteed. Later is never a “sure thing”.

The only thing we can ever be sure of is where we are, what we’re doing and what we’re working towards or hesitating on right now, in this moment..

The reason why we stall and hesitate is because we’ve made our existing circumstances our source of security rather than using our faith as our source of security.

Now or never is the time to research that thing you’ve been only casually thinking about in a grandiose dreamer sort of way… what would happen if you used right now to get a clean notebook, a pen, your headphones and your phone to research YouTube videos and articles to help educate you on the logistics of making that dream a reality?

Now or never is the time to face the reality that the relationship you’ve been in costs you more of your peace than your willing to part with.

Now or never is the time to dig deep into your childhood trauma and seek healing through experts available for free on YouTube so you can finally start to heal the wounds that haunt you.

Now or never is the time for you build habits that make you feel better about who you are so you can leave this world better than you found it.

But there’s a problem.

I can hear it now.

“But I’m not ready!”

That’s okay! You don’t have to be ready. You just have to work to become ready. That’s a verb. It requires you to do something.

You don’t have to walk the whole journey. All you have to do today is take one step in the direction of where you want to go.

One step, every day.

Whatever you can do once every day, will one day be the knee-jerk reaction that will become as seamless as breathing.

One off day, doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It simply means you were triggered back to old ways and old habits. Identify the trigger, redirect yourself, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go back to just taking one step.

You gain security when you find your footing, you can’t find your footing without walking.

It’s time to take a step.

You’ve got this.
